A “Techie” I Am Not!

My Dear Readers,

I have been at it all morning, attempting to move this website closer to where I want it to be for myself, for you, and for future readers.

I have visions for this site — visions for how I want it to look – I want a prayer request box, and lots more photos, and boxes filled with readers’ comments.  I want my mail set up to send newsletters out to subscribers.

I have visions for how many people I hope to reach and provide support – I have hopes that maybe just on one day, one thing I say will really hit home for someone and change their life for the better.

I want to have guest writers; I want to provide links to helpful articles; I want to set up individualized referral services.

But right now, Folks, I am struggling with the very basic technology of setting up the website of my dreams.  Last night I was getting nowhere with the mail service, so those newsletters will have to wait a bit longer.

Today I’ve visited Google (various links for various purposes) more times than I can even count.  Then I’ve been back and forth to the site here trying to plug in some codes I just copied and pasted, but turns out to be the wrong codes and they are not recognized.  I had maybe 6 windows open at one time for various reasons.

And just when I’m pretty sure I’ve got it all right, I click “Verify” to verify that I am the owner of this site.  Well, as it turns out, I’m not recognized as the owner of this site.

But I think it’s awfully sweet of the “real” owner to let me post here, and even put my photo up twice!

So, for the rest of today, I need to take a breather from all technology – I will attempt to post this on Facebook soon, and then the most technological thing I will do for the rest of the day is perhaps play Farmville.

But take heart, Readers!  Because I am no quitter!  Soon this site will be just as I want it – and I will be recognized as the owner!
