Hello Friends and Readers,
I would like to write a post in the near future consisting of comments from the readers of “Weather Your Storm” Facebook page or this website. I will put the comments together in a post on the website here, but will not be using anyone’s name.
We are going to begin some posts on coping and dealing with grief and loss. I’ve been doing some research and know what the “experts” in the field say, and I will be writing about that. But I’d really like to hear from my friends, family, and readers.
I would like to hear from as many people as possible on what you did, or are doing now, to cope and deal with loss and grief. What helped you the most to move toward healing?
Will you all be willing to name maybe one or two things which helped you through the difficult grieving process?
You can post them on my Facebook profile page or on the Weather Your Storm Facebook page, or send me a private message… or post them here on the website in a comments box.
I will begin with myself: I can think of 3 things right off the top that have helped me in times of grieving —
- God, and prayers for comfort
- My family and friends who listened & supported me in the rough spots
- Allowing myself to feel the emotion (whatever that was.. anger, denial, sadness) and cry if I needed to.
Please leave a comment in the box below and let me know one or two ways you cope and deal with grief and loss.
I look forward to hearing from you!
